The first thread
Kia ora from the mountains of New Zealand’s South Island, where I write while the sun rises.
In the magical way of these things, all those patched-together hours of writing before my day job have culminated in a book. And this week, I got to share that this book is going to be published in 2026 by Little A.
OUR COMMON THREAD is my debut fiction novel about a wardrobe assistant in the film industry who discovers a portal in her own wardrobe that leads to alternate timelines of her life.
I’ve floated facelessly around Substack for a while now, enjoying missives from fellow writers and creatives, and now that I might have some things to share in the lead-up to publication, I thought it was a good time to join the fray. I know writers on Substack are a dime a dozen, but I personally can never get enough of hearing creatives and craftspeople of all disciplines and all worlds talk about their process, craft, industry insights, and other little morsels of life.
So here I am. Thanks for having me. More soon x
